Anti-Spam & Unsolicited Messaging Policy

Updated 11/19/18

Introduction:
(1.1)    In the context of electronic messaging, “spam” can be defined as unsolicited, bulk or indiscriminate messages, typically sent for a primarily commercial purpose.

(1.2)
  We have a zero-tolerance spam policy.

Spam filtering:
(2.1)   Our messaging systems automatically scan all incoming email and other messages and filter out messages that appear to be spam.

(2.2)    We may also report incoming email as spam, which can result in IP addresses and domain names being blacklisted.

Spam filtering issues:
(3.1)    No message filtering system is 100% accurate, and from time to time legitimate messages will be filtered out by our systems.

(3.2)    If you believe that a legitimate message you have sent has been filtered out by our systems, please advise the message recipient by another means.

(3.3)    You can reduce the risk of a message being caught by the spam filters by:

(3.3a)    sending the message in plain text (no HTML);

(3.3b)    removing any message attachments;

(3.3c)    avoiding the terminology and text styling typically used by spammers; and/or

(3.3d)    ensuring that your messages are scanned for malware before dispatch.

Receipt of unsolicited messages from us:
(4.1)   SourceFunding.org prohibits the use of our products and services in any manner associated with the transmission, distribution and delivery of spam. In the unlikely event that you receive any message from us, or sent using our systems, that may be considered to be spam, please contact us using the details below and the matter will be investigated.

(4.2) Commercial electronic messages (email marketing) from SourceFunding.org will be based on a consumer opt-in approach. SourceFunding.org will gain consent for commercial electronic messages purposes prior to sending commercial messages (including emails), unless we have a pre-existing business relationship with the client, candidate, business partner, independent contractor, or affiliate, as in these particular cases consent is considered to be implied. SourceFunding.org shall ensure the following practices are followed when using electronic messaging for marketing purposes:

(4.2a) Maintain rigorous email list management practices

(4.2b) Include all essential company information predominantly within the message such as our name and contact information (including address and phone number)

(4.2c) Include an opt-in approach to allow subscribers to confirm they want SourceFunding.org messages

(4.2d) Include an opt-out (or unsubscribe) message that is simple and conspicuous within the email

Variation:
(5.1)    We may amend this policy at any time by publishing a new version on our website.
